The only thing that rivals my passion for filmmaking is spending time outside. I'm a long distance hiker and I've spent hundreds of nights in the wilderness all over the country. During my time in the wilderness I have developed a nature inspired philosophy by which I try to live by. I always have my camera with me when I'm outside and that philosophy seeps into the movies I make. I believe there are lessons to be learned in the wilderness that are hard to learn anywhere else, and they can help us be happier and more resilient in our everyday lives.
My passion is outdoor filmmaking, but I have a wide variety of experience and I can contribute to just about any video project. My work has been on public TV, premiered in theaters, streamed on Amazon Prime, and much more. I have worked at an advertising agency, for a TV station, and under an award-winning documentary film director. Now I am on my own as a freelance videographer and editor. I know the filmmaking process from beginning to end, because I have done it on my own and I have worked with many talented people in the industry.

I was hired by Detroit Public TV to film and edit this project about Buffalo Reef. It's a spawning bed in Lake Superior that is being ruined by legacy mining waste.
The Buffalo Reef segment is about 8 minutes long in the Great Lakes Now program.

I've been up here since 2011 and I love this place, but now I have decided to move. It was not an easy decision to leave the UP but I think it's time to see a new place.
